Nueva Andalucía Area Overview
Nueva Andalucía is one of the most prestigious residential areas on the Costa del Sol, in western Marbella. The neighbourhood earned its nickname 'Golf Valley' thanks to its unique concentration of world-class golf clubs.
Nueva Andalucía was founded when Spanish businessman José Banús Masdeu — creator of Puerto Banús — acquired the land and built an exclusive residential community. The area sits ideally between the Sierra de Ronda mountains to the north and the Mediterranean to the south, with stunning views of the iconic La Concha peak.
The defining feature of Nueva Andalucía: 86% of residents are foreign. That's the highest share in Marbella. British, Scandinavian (over 2,500 Swedes!), Russian, French and Arab communities thrive here. The area is even known as 'Little Stockholm'.
